Sandeep Bhullar, you can eat as much as your stomach can handle 😂.
Their food and sweets are always fresh. Love the chapatis here.
Papdi chat was out of this world.. best so far..
The food wasn’t as tasty as it could have been. Coming from a place where we have seen authentic Indian food, this was no where near that. Service was good. They greet and ask but taste which is the most important aspect of any restaurant, itself was missing
Good place for some not so known sweets. Could use a better ambiance and music. Food is good and healthy. Helpful staff.
Well in sort, Food quality is not good. Seems each dish been thrugh multiple reheating process. I don't think any of the preparation was fresh. So would not recommend this buffet place.
Good food for a reasonable price. The buffet menu is standard but the taste is consistent.
One of the worst buffets in Vancouver. The number of items served in the buffet is super less. Instead of having food here, one can opt for the OPPOSITE Indian restaurant (can't remember the name). However, their Gulab Jamun was good <3
Very bad quality.. Never opt for buffet.... is the worst of all.
Great food and good menu to choose from... Buffet is always a good choice
If you are looking for cheap food without any taste and service , this restaurant is for you. I had lunch buffet which was around 14 dollor, tasteless, dry, and not appealing at all. Butter chicken was so runny, one can swim inside. No dry snacks at all, though they had put so many chutneys on buffet table but for what?? Its old and doesn't smell good.
This was a pleasant and welcome surprised. We had horrible experience with another Indian restaurant via Doordash. We asked the cab driver what he recommended and he suggested this place. Wonderful staff. Food was very good. There is buffet option. We opted to order from the menu. Lots of snacks and sweet choices. There were other Indians eating there so that was key signal that it was authentic and not watered down for Western taste. It is on the Main street with #3 bus that took us near the hotel was a bonus. Bus run frequently here which was awesome.
I have been coming to this place for a long time, and when you compare it to all the other samosa places in Vancouver, this is pretty high up! The sweets, the samosas, the service are all stellar! Samosas are so crunchy and are such a filler, while the sweets are made beautifully and taste amazing! Definitely check this place out! I mean, if you don't, more for me! (:
Not as expected. The food is not upto the expectation. The staff could be more humble.
5 stars for super friendly service, price, delicious food and extra for me made authentic lassi. But only 1 star for the rainy night in Vancouver.
Food: the curry selection was satisfactory and didn't taste or feel as rich as curries are supposed to. They had a huge selection of desserts that looked really appealing! Service: Pleasant and accommodating! They were pleasant to deal with when an issue had occurred and comped our meal, so that is something that was handled nicely! Personal comments: Maybe we just came in on a bad day, but I just found the curries to be thin and bland and a turn off for the whole experience. This place has such mixed reviews, you can definitely try it for yourself, but I won't be returning and there is a reason why it's rated what it's rated...
Been going here for what seems like decades.... The best samosas, usually will stop in a buy a dozen or more. can't be beat
Old dried out food and rude, miserably unhappy staff. The entire place is old, dirty and in need of repairs. Do not waste time going into this dump.
Worst food, rudest owner, full of weird attitude. Not so good vibes.
I was so impressed with the buffet. All the food was so delicious. Really happy I went to this restaurant
Day long buffet! Affordable price! Nothing stale noticed! Service was fast! Place needs reno!
Indian buffet is decent: appreciated as buffet not very available elsewhere now All India Sweets (across Main Street) only does it Tuesdays. Good selection of entrées & few included sweets. Large front-&-center colourful selection of burfi/ sweets for sale. One major negative in restaurant is tired, not-really caring attitude of owners/ managers—also not we’ll-dressed. Like they’ve been in business/ location too long and they’d really rather retire /stay home. Fresh faces, new management needed.
I don't hate the place. I wasn't satisfied with the food I ordered
Great value indian buffet. I think it's owned and operated be a family and they have excellent casual hospitality. Their takeout samosas are great quality and excellent price - perfect for parties and potlucks. I've been coming here for years and will continue as long as they're open.
Hope I can give below one or zero rating. If food quality is that bad at 12:00pm noon it's really pathetic. Street food is far far better than this. Worst food I've ever tasted in my whole life. Only consistency was that every single dish was worse, including sweet dishes. Feeling really sick afterwards. To all Canadians, please don't judge ' Indian' food with this. Indian food is way better. I highly not recommend it. Please don't visit it.
The ambience is unpleasant, tv in the background is too loud. The interiors are very old and scrappy, menu all torn apart from the edges. Food is low in quality, overpriced.
Total rippoff for lamb curry for that size 15$$ Also small glass of milkshakes 5 dollars
I have never been to this restaurant , I do remember this place has been here along time on Main St , Vancouver. The buffet itself , I don't see any meat dishessuch as beef , pork or chicken.I was going to apply for the kitchen helperposition they have but now I don't thinkI'll bother with.I very rarely go for Indian Cuisine and I live close to Coquitlam so there is one Indian restaurant , I haven't tried yet but plan to.Daryl S , Burnaby
We have gotten takeout from here several times recently, but we stopped to try the buffet this time. It's quite a nice spread, with something for the carnivores, as well as vegetarians. We both enjoyed it. The bill was approximately $14 each.
Good and tasty food. Value for money
More of 3.5 My family has been coming here for ages and back then it was the go to place for cheap Indian food so going there I get nostalgia feels. However over time the quality of the food has gone down hill quite extensively (referring to the buffet). However some of their items off the menu are still worth going back to (dosa, paratha, and chole bhature) and of course their sweets are still the best in Vancouver.
This place has been around for many years. East Indian food with both a la carte and buffet, serving the usual dishes plus many sweets. The all you can eat buffet includes 2 choices of meat (usually butter and curry chicken) and desserts; is the same price all day. It has a home style cooking taste to their dishes. Street parking. #letsguide
Loved this place and the Indian coffee as well
Went in for a quick bite and for Chai Tea Indian spice tea. Had samosa and its comes with a spice sauce.
Worst attitude of the old lady standing at cash She doesn't know how to charge and sometimes charge extra to the customer. Instead of saying thanks or sorry she tried to show her english accent that was so bad. We didn't even got her what she was saying. :( Thankless
Terrible service, awful selection, and the taste was barely adequate. There are much better buffets nearby that cost less.
Best sweets freshly prepared. We enjoyed their house chai also
I like to sit in the window and people watch while drinking my hot cup of chai tea and eating a couple of samosas while chatting to my close friend.Doesn't that sound like fun??
Not very impressed by the quality of the food. The only thing I liked was the fish pakora. Could have improved the presentation a bit better. We ordered samosa chat which is supposed to be smashed samosa cooked in chana masala. But they gave us with seperate samosa and chana.
I liked the butter chicken and naan from this place.
The dishes offered at the all-you-can-eat buffet where standard East-Indian fair. Food was good and fresh. I was a little put off by the less than friendly staff however.
Beautifully prepared food. Although the buffet is not open yet, the variety of foods they offer ( basically a vegetarian or non vegie plate) is very good value and all excellently prepared.
Guys at front counter is not friendly. No Smile on face anytime. Not Good Customer Service.Yes, taste is Good. Overall Good restaurant.
The restaurant has been around for a long time at least since 1987. Traditional Punjabi food, all day buffet, plenty of sweets and samosas. Not a fine dining spot. If you are interested in average food at a good price, this is your place to dine.
Haven't been to this place since the early 90's. Happy to see it still exists. I will stop by soon. I recall the sweets and food being delicious
one of my friend , recommended me this restaurant. The food was good but i was expecting more , i ordered channa masala , it was not so good , as i tasted earlier from this restaurant.
Not many choices. Mostly sweets. Had a pop and after tax was over 16$. I don't think I'm going back.
Can’t go wrong with this place. Good variety the matches the price. It’s typically the same: butter chicken, chicken curry, Chana masala, mixed veggie, cheese and peas, yoghurt and peas, salad bar, fresh naan, samosas and dessert. Friendly staff. $13.95
We adore this place. Great value, wonderful sauces and cute employees, young and aged. We would give it 5 stars, but there is always room for improvement. It's a little chilly in there, bring a sweater.
i love the buffet. affordable way to stuff yourself.
Buffet is so good...and Fresh
